Survivor Pool
EMFFL runs two survivor formats each season: NFL Team Survivor and Score Survivor. Both are last-manager-standing competitions.
NFL Team Survivor
Each week you pick one NFL team to win their game. If your team wins, you survive. If they lose, you're eliminated. The catch: you cannot pick the same team twice in the same pool.
Making Your Pick
- Go to Survivor in the League menu.
- Open the active pool for the current season.
- Click Make My Pick and select an NFL team from the dropdown.
- Teams you've already used are marked and cannot be selected.
- The dropdown closes at kickoff for each week's games — pick early.
- You can change your pick any time before picks lock for that week.
After Results Are Entered
Once the commissioner enters that week's results, the pool updates:
- Managers who picked a winning team advance to the next week.
- Managers who picked a losing team are eliminated.
- Your pick history shows a green checkmark (survived) or red X (eliminated) for each week.
Winning
The last manager standing wins the pool. If multiple managers survive until all NFL teams are bye-weeks or no valid picks remain, the commissioner may declare co-winners or run a tiebreak.
Strategy Notes
- Saving strong teams (Chiefs, Eagles, etc.) for later weeks when picks are harder is a common strategy.
- Upset-prone games early in the season are a trap — a win is a win, but an upset loss ends your run.
Score Survivor
Score Survivor is automatic and requires no picks from you.
How it works: Each week, the manager with the lowest fantasy score in the main EMFFL league is eliminated from Score Survivor. This continues until one manager remains.
- If you score the lowest in your matchup but someone else scored even lower league-wide, you survive.
- If two managers tie for lowest score, the commissioner determines the tiebreak.
Score Survivor results for all historical seasons are viewable from the Survivor landing page.
Missed a Pick?
If you forget to pick before the lock deadline, you are automatically eliminated for that week in NFL Team Survivor. There are no exceptions — set a reminder.
